The energies revealed by this Full Moon in Dhanishta suggest that the time to get serious about who and what fulfills us is upon us. For the last year, we have been avoiding this subject by obsessing about the other details in our life. Now, we are faced with this issue head on as the retrograde players are highlighting the reassessment of which relationships are conducive to growth and which ones have been limiting our growth potential.
This is a GREAT time to connect with your HEART! The heart is the portal to your inner harmony.
The Sun in Magha (Regulus – Star of Power) is shining its energy upon the Moon and Jupiter. This indicates an overabundance of optimism and positive energy surrounding us at this time. What we choose to do with this potential is the question that each of us has to answer. Will you waste this opportunity to align to your true heart’s desire? Or, will you seize the positive energy of this time and rise in authenticity and truth?
Dhanishta is all about rhythm; it is known as the Star of Symphony. Its symbols are the drum and the flute. As you can see, it is strongly linked with all types of musical expression, as well as different forms of creative arts. Dhanishta has many expressions to it as seen by the presiding deity, Asta Vasus (8 aspects of the One). The moon here tends to have a fickle nature if not in true alignment with its TRUTH. That TRUTH is known by the HARMONIC that is palpably felt and experienced. Harmony takes precedence in this asterism.
So, how can you tell if something is true for you? How can you tell if you are in alignment? The energy that is flowing will be the signal for alignment. When we feel and notice resistance, we know that the energy is not in flow and not aligned to TRUTH. Harmony can be felt and experienced through a deeper connection to our physical body. Have you heard of muscle testing? That is a fun way to experiment with this concept to see if you can connect with the intelligence of your body.
The body is intelligent and the cells of the body hold much intelligence within their core. Intelligence is what propels life forward in the everlasting cycles of Nature. Each cell is imbued with tremendous power seen by its intelligence. Soma is another name for the moon. Soma is also known for the body (esoterically it is the astral body or the astral double that is the frame for the physical body). Knowing this gives an interesting spin to the axiom: “As Above, So Below; As Within, So Without.”
Wrap your mind around this next concept. The physical body is the conglomerate aggregate of all the different cells that make up the organs, tissues, bones and liquids. This is a great reason to study the moon and its patterns. If we study the moon, we come to know more about our physical nature as well as how that relates with our astral nature. Then we can come to know what true harmonic resonance is and how that knowledge benefits each of us.
Dhanishta teaches us about this harmonic resonance. It also teaches us that HARMONY is what makes growth possible. If you have ever been to a live concert and have witnessed when something went of key, then you know that how much time elapsed between the harmony and disharmony will signal how successful the end performance is overall. We can have disharmony, however, if we spend too much time in the dissonance, we end up with utter chaos that leads to no further growth. Alternatively, if we take our disharmonic anger to fuel us into seeking harmony once again, we arrive at that forward growth.
I mention anger because we have the Sun in Magha joining Mars and Mercury. The energy of Mars combined with Sun can increase heat and often leads to a rise in anger or conflict, especially while Mercury (trickster energy) is in the mix. The positive way to express this anger is to use it as courage to change the things that can be changed. Mainly, what we have control of changing is our responses to outside stimuli. Notice when you become triggered during this time. Then notice how you choose to respond. Did you choose or was your reaction automatic? A good rule of thumb to follow is: when triggered, pause, take a breath, and reassess.
Overall, the combined energy for this lunar cycle is positive – although quite intense. The intensity is surmounted by the recent retrograde of Uranus in Bharani, which is the revolution being within the constraint of an asterism that always seeks to have restraint. This is a tug-of-war sort of influence. We can imagine that we are in a car pressing on the gas pedal and the break simultaneously while putting the car in drive. This intensity can feel like a live wire that is also fried due to the intense overflow of energy through the small opening within the wire. You may be feeling exhausted and at the same time be pumped with immense energy that keeps you awake or overly alert. What will you do with this revolutionary energy? What will you reform within yourself and your life?
Remember that we have 5 influencers in retrograde motion, which makes things a bit out of sorts. It’s a great time for being extra vigilant and connecting with the Inner Wisdom in order to live more harmoniously. Focus on the upbeat potential that is available now and hone in your own optimism to create a better future. This energy is awarding us with more clarity of vision – inner vision. Make the most of this positive energy and use it for the collective’s good as well as your own.
